Unlocking a New Build homes potential
We recently worked with clients and their architects on a new-build home in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside.
These clients took advantage of our Signature Design Service to help unlock their home’s potential with the internal flow of their new kitchen-dining and living space so we could create their ultimate luxury kitchen that cohesively flowed alongside the other living areas of the first-floor space.
The elevated kitchen and living space on the first floor were designed to provide a direct view down to the family-sized swimming pool and landscaped gardens, along with the stretching countryside and Solent water views through the floor-to-ceiling glass.
Our brief was to ensure that the flow of the kitchen was at the heart of the open-plan design to maximise their countryside views and select cabinetry that was as luxurious as the other finishes in their home.
The dark cabinets in Onyx oak laminate created additional drama and visual interest in this large open-plan space, whilst a soft sterling grey finish was chosen for the island and console cabinets to bring warmth and light into the central area.
Creating Garden Views & Natural Light
The owners of this Hampshire home wanted to renovate their existing kitchen and make the most of their lovely far-stretching views out to the garden that was blocked by a wall. After visiting the Showroom and meeting with the designer they instantly connected and knew they were in the right place so signed up for our Signature Design Service.
Our designers unlocked this home’s potential by choosing a U-shaped kitchen space for this bespoke design to maximise open-plan living and allow for defined cooking, entertaining and relaxing areas. To make the most of the beautiful views, a new floor-to-ceiling bay window was added opposite the U-shaped kitchen layout that increased the light in and allowed the owner to enjoy the valley views of their outside space.

Navigating Design in a Listed Stately Property
This elegant property was designed by English Baroque architect, Thomas Archer in 1715, and is now owned by a couple with a busy family and social life. The owners wanted a modern, contemporary family kitchen space that also remained sympathetic to the architect’s contemporary, Italian-influenced features.
The team had many features to consider, not least because the ceiling in the space was lower than usual, but the design needed to preserve the stature of the property’s heritage and enhance its period features with a blend of modern cabinetry, worktops, appliances, materials and finishes.
After choosing the Signature Design Service, we started by suggesting the removal of the suspended ceiling that had been installed in the 1970s which revealed a magnificent four-metre-high ceiling. We then created three core zones – preparation, cooking, and dining, with the inclusion of storage space as the family often entertained. The solution for this space was a double-island layout to create a distinction between the preparation & dining spaces.
For those all-important finishing touches, his client also chose to take advantage of our interior design consultancy service, where we sourced Mid-Century style furniture pieces that complimented some of the family’s heirloom pieces and iconic furniture.
